Success with Healthy Schools National Quality Award 2017

 

Mae'r adroddiad isod yn canmol yr ysgol am weithredu mentrau lles i'r safon uchaf.

The report below praises the school for ensuring wellbeing initiatives at the highest level.

Rydym wedi cynnal wythnos iach yn yr ysgol o 1/6/15 i 5/6/15 gan ddilyn amrywiaeth o weithgareddau i hybu bwyta'n iach a cadw'r corff yn iach. Mae pawb wedi llwyr fwynhau'r wythnos.

A healthy week was held in school between 1//6/15 and 5/6/15 following numerous activities to promote healthy eating and keeping fit. Everybody had fun during the week.

Daeth yr wythnos i ben gyda twmpath dawns a drefnwyd gan CRHA yr ysgol.

The week came to an end with a folk dancing evening arranged by the PTA.

Sesiynau Yoga Sessions

Cynhaliwyd sesiynau yoga yn yr ysgol ar 18/7/16 i hybu diwrnod ymlaciol dan arweiniad Mrs Wendy Ostler. Roedd pawb wedi mwynhau.

Yoga sessions were held in school on 18/7/16 to promote a relaxing day under Mrs Wendy Ostler's guidance. A fun time was had by all.

 

Cadw'n Heini gyda'r Athletydd Olympaidd Beverley Jones

Keeping fit with the Olympic Athlete Beverley Jones

Treuliwyd prawn olaf tymor y Pasg (Ebrill 2017)yng nghwmni'r athletydd discus Beverley Jones yn cadw'n heini drwy ddilyn gwahanol symudiadau ffitrwydd. Cafodd y disgyblion gyfle i glywed ei hanesion yn ystod y gemau paralympaidd diwethaf a dangosodd ei holl fedalau iddynt  .

The last afternoon of the Easter term( April 2017) was spent in the company of Beverley Jones Discus Paralympic Champion by following different fitness moves with her. The pupils heard about her time in the last Paralympic Games and she showed them all the medals that she's won over the years.

Wythnos Iach /Healthy Week 22/5/17-26/5/17

 

Rydym wedi cynnal wythnos iach yn yr ysgol o 22/517 i 26/5/17 gan ddilyn amrywiaeth o weithgareddau i hybu bwyta'n iach a cadw'r corff yn iach. Mae pawb wedi llwyr fwynhau'r wythnos.

A healthy week was held in school between 22//5/17 and 26/5/17 following numerous activities to promote healthy eating and keeping fit. Everybody had fun during the week. 

Amserlen yr wythnos

Dysgodd y disgyblion am fwyd iach gyda Nia Rees Williams. Cafodd y Cyfnod sylfaen gyfle i greu smwddis ac edrych ar faint mor lân oedd eu dwylo drwy beiriant arbennig. Coginiodd CA2 rysait arbennig sef Risotto Eog oedd llawn bwydydd iachus gan adolygu sut i dorri llysiau yn y dull saff rhag torri bysedd bach!!

 

The pupils learnt about healthy food with Nia Rees Williams. The Foundation Stage created smoothies and looked at how clean were their hands through a special machine. The KS2 cooked a special recipe Salmon risotto that was full of healthy food and had a chance to revise how to cut vegetables safely without cutting little fingers!!

Gweithgareddau yn yr awyr agored

Cafodd y disgyblion gyfle i ddefnyddio'r wal ddringo, sgipio ar y cwrt tenis a cherdded  milltir o gwmpas y cae peldroed. Darganfyddant fod milltir yn werth 51/2 o weithau o gwmpas y cae.

 

Outdoor activities

The pupils had the opportunity to use the climbing wall, skipping on the tennis court and walking a mile around the football field. We calculated that 51/2 times around the pitch was a mile.

Daeth ein Wythons iach i ben drwy gynnal sesiwn fftrwydd gyda'r hyfforddwr lleol Chris Law. Daeth rhai rhieni i ymuno gyda ni ar gyfer hanner awr olaf y dydd.
